VAT & Company Autofill
Selling to Dutch and Belgian businesses? Let them type a VAT number and the rest fills itself in.
Supported countries: Netherlands and Belgium.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”- VAT check: the VAT number is checked the way customers type it (with or without country code, spaces or dots), first offline with the checksum and then with the EU VAT register (VIES).
- Company autofill: for Dutch and Belgian companies, the registered company name and address are filled in from VIES. Nothing the customer typed is overwritten without asking; every field stays editable.
- Dutch addresses from postcode + house number (PDOK, the Dutch government address register).
- Belgian streets suggested from the postcode, and the address checked (BeST).
- KvK lookup (optional): the Dutch Chamber of Commerce number, with your own KvK API key. Try it for free in the KvK test environment first.
- Never blocks an order because a government service is slow: when VIES is down, the order goes through and is flagged for you to check.
- In your admin: VAT and KvK status on customers and orders, a lookup log with reasons in plain words, a “Test connection” button per service and Copy diagnostics for support.
VIES, PDOK and BeST are free public services: no API key and no extra subscription. Which data goes where: external services.

Plugins for Shopware, WooCommerce, Magento and PrestaShop run on your own server: we receive nothing. The Shopify and Lightspeed apps run on our server in the EU; for those we are your processor (data processing agreement).
